What are the three common problems of uniform cross-section thin-walled bearings?

Regarding the use of uniform cross-section thin-walled bearings, do we often encounter such related questions: "Why does the sealing performance of uniform cross-section bearings decrease?', 'Why do uniform cross-section sealed bearings have grease leakage problems?', 'Why does the bearing get stuck when rotating?'" etc. How can we judge and find out the reasons for these problems?

Question 1: Why does the sealing performance of equal-section bearings decrease?

The phenomenon is: large friction torque; poor dust and dirt resistance.

The reason is: the bearing has a special structure: thin wall, small volume, light weight, small sealing space, poor rigidity, easy deformation and other characteristics. Hot processing, cold processing and detection of bearing parts including seals bring great difficulties, and it is difficult to improve their processing accuracy. At present, the sealing structure of this type on the market has basically the same size. Due to the processing error, the sealing performance is poor or the friction torque is large, which cannot meet the requirements of the bearing.

Solution: In order to meet the sealing requirements and friction torque requirements of the bearing, combined with the easy deformation of the bearing parts and the processing accuracy of the dimensional tolerance and the processing accuracy of the sealing ring, according to the limited bearing space, the structural size of the sealing ring is personalized designed to compensate for the processing accuracy error of the bearing parts and seals, to achieve the expected effect and meet user requirements.

Question 2: Why do uniform cross-section sealed bearings have grease leakage problems?

The phenomenon is: the grease inside the bearing overflows from its sealing lip.

The reason is: the bearing has a special structural dimension and a small sealing space dimension, which limits the rationality of the sealing structure.

Solution: Choose a reasonable process method, conduct multiple process tests, and eliminate the grease leakage of the sealed bearing under the premise of meeting the use requirements.

Question 3: Why does the bearing get stuck when it rotates?

The phenomenon is: when the bearing is rotated under axial force or radial force, the hand feels sometimes large and sometimes small, and the operation is not smooth. When it rotates quickly or at high speed, vibration and noise will occur.

The reason is: the bearing is not clean, there is dirt on the working surface or the working surface is rough and scratched.

Solution: Choose the appropriate cleaning fluid and cleaning method, strictly control the quality of the working surface, improve the inspection means, and ensure that the bearing is clean and free of foreign matter. Warm reminder: Uniform cross-section thin-walled bearings are also called thin-walled ring bearings. They are highly precise, very quiet and have strong load-bearing capacity. Thin-walled ring bearings can be deep groove ball bearings, four-point contact bearings, angular contact ball bearings, and thin-walled uniform cross-section bearings are mostly square in cross section. In these series, the cross section remains unchanged even for larger shaft diameters and bearing holes. These bearings are therefore called uniform cross-sections.
