What are the performance characteristics of tapered roller bearings?

Features of tapered roller bearings:

1. High speed;

2. High rigidity, shock and vibration resistance;

3. Able to withstand large axial loads;

Tapered roller bearings are mainly used to bear radial and axial combined loads, mainly radial loads. Generally, they are not suitable for bearing axial loads alone. This type of bearing can be installed with an inner ring (with a full set of rollers and retainers) and an outer ring separately. This type of bearing does not allow the shaft to tilt relative to the housing, and will generate additional axial force under radial load. The size of the axial clearance of this type of bearing has a great impact on whether the bearing can work normally. When the axial clearance is too small, the temperature rise is high; when the axial clearance is large, the bearing is easily damaged. Therefore, special attention should be paid to adjusting the axial clearance of the bearing during installation and operation. If necessary, pre-interference installation can be performed to increase the rigidity of the bearing.

Features of large-cone-angle tapered roller bearings:

The inclination angle of the outer ring raceway generatrix of this type of bearing to the axis line is 25°~29°, so it is called a large-cone-angle tapered roller bearing. The ability of this type of bearing to withstand axial loads is higher than that of general tapered roller bearings. It is mainly used to withstand radial and axial combined loads with bearing loads mainly in one direction, but it is not easy to withstand pure longitudinal loads.
